    Naturally Clicquot 3

     

    Favini, in collaboration with both the champagne house Veuve Clicquot and DS Smith, has created Naturally Clicquot 3. This is a new, fully biodegradable and recyclable packaging that embodies both innovation and elegance.

    Naturally Clicquot 3 is the result of a creative reuse of by-products from the production of Veuve Clicquot champagne. After the pressing of the grapes, through an environmentally friendly process, the skins of the grapes are given a new life. Favini’s experience in creating paper from agro-industrial waste means that these skins can be specially processed to become a raw material that can be used to produce a unique ecological paper that uses 25% less virgin fibre.

    In order to produce the innovative paper used as ecological Veuve Clicquot packaging, Favini adds the by-product to the production process, blending it with water and natural fibres in order to replace a portion of the cellulose from tree origin.

    Papermilk is produced with milk fibres, cotton fibres and woodfree primary pulp from responsible sources. It is FSC® certified.

     

    Papermilk is the first paper in the world made by milk fibers (milk waste) and created to become symbol of the return to the primary, to the essential, to the self-care and protection. The milk is the primary all over the world known food and it is essential, as paper is in the communication domain.

    It is a great example of how food waste can be turned into a premium packaging material and, given some clever design, turned into a viable luxury product.
